Paddington Bear has been given a Scots makeover - marmalade jeelie-jar and all. He hasn’t swapped his duffle coat for a kilt and his battered suitcase hasn’t been replaced by a Harris Tweed bag. But the story of the much-loved bear who arrived in England as a stowaway from Darkest Peru has been translated into Scots.
Author James Robertson, co-founder of Itchy Coo publishers, hopes the new book will introduce a worldwide army of Paddington fans to the Scots language.
