Über die Verfolgung der Homosexuellen während des Hitler-Regimes gibt es wenig Literatur. Spärlich sind die Informationen über die Inkriminierung, Erniedrigung und Ermordung von Homosexuellen während der Nazizeit. Die Homosexuellen standen in der Hierarchie der Konzentrationslager auf der untersten Stufe. Auch nach dem Krieg setzte sich für die "Männer mit dem Rosa Winkel" die strafrechtliche Verfolgung und die gesellschaftliche Ächtung fort. Heinz Heger berichtet in diesem Buch schonungslos von den beschämenden Ereignissen in den Konzentrationslagern Sachsenhausen und Flossenburg.
