Der Verfasser hat Lichtbilder in die Hand bekommen, die - von Amateuren aufgenommen, damals gab es keine Kriegsberichterstatter - den freiwilligen Einsatz junger Männer zum Kampf um die Erhaltung eines deutschen Landesteiles im Südosten des geschlagenen Reiches zeigen. Er sammelte weiter und fand nicht nur weitere Fotos, sondern Dokumente aus den Tagen des Jahres 1921. Sehr eingehend werden die Kämpfe am Annaberg/OS in Wort und Bild dokumentiert.
